Double the performance and productivity with Independent Dual Extruders. Fully assembled. Open and Enclosed models.

Say hello to Jadelabo J1, a powerful 3D printer designed for makers and creators. With two independent print heads, you can speed up the printing by 2X, or print two different materials in one single object. Even better, it has the easiest calibration, the ecosystem with software and support, and all the smart features we expect from an easy-to-use IDEX 3D printer. It will come fully assembled and tested by the professionals at our team.

We’re a group of makers who got tired of low-end 3D printers and poor customer support. We’re also 3D printer creators have led the product design, engineering, and mass production for two high-quality 3D printers for four years in our previous jobs. Starting Jadelabo team, we want to bring high quality and innovative maker tools to people who like to create and amaze us with their ideas and creations.

What can you print with?

Jadelabo J1’s nozzle temperature can reach up to 300°C. It also has an optional Enclosed model. From commonly used materials like PLA, PETG, to advanced materials like Nylon (PA), PC, TPU, ABS, ASA, PVA, and HIPS, Jadelabo J1 can print them all.

Take 3D printing to new heights! No longer are you limited to single material applications. Jadelabo J1 features an Independent Dual Extruders (IDEX) system that allows various combinations of different materials.

The amazing features that set Jadelabo J1 apart.

Support removal has never been easier. You can print almost any geometry because you can use water-soluble materials to print the supports or just the interface between the print and the support structure. When printing premium materials, you can save money by printing the supports with a less expensive material.

Jadelabo J1 features an Independent Dual Extrusion System (IDEX) that allows you to print in different materials that have vastly different properties. It also reduces contamination of materials or colors, giving you a neat and clean multi-material print.

You can print two identical parts simultaneously. This is an advanced feature compared to single / dual extruders 3D printers. Double productivity, without extra cost.

Imagine printing an object and a mirror of the object at the same time! Jadelabo J1 enables more efficient symmetric object printing. Cut your wait time in half, without sacrificing print quality.

Jadelabo J1 has two models: Enclosed and Open. If you would like to print with high temperature materials, create a more stable, quieter environment, and keep your kids and pets away from running prints, then you should choose the enclosed version.

Jadelabo J1 is a beautifully designed and well-crafted 3D printer that you will be proud to have on your desk. Sleek design, solid aluminum alloy frame, and carefully finished details.

How it’s better than other 3D printers?

For the first time in IDEX calibration, an innovative solution of contact-based electrical conductive paths are applied to achieve unparalleled accuracy and reliability in both platform calibration and dual extruders calibration for an IDEX 3D printer.

XY Calibration

XY Calibration Comparison

Most IDEX 3D printers are difficult to calibrate; Jadelabo J1 is different. The dual extruders XY calibration is completely automatic, without the need of manual tweaking or printing test model repeatedly.

Z Calibration

Conventional dual extruder Z calibration can be intimidating. That’s why Jadelabo J1 comes with a novel Z calibration method with a unique nozzle calibration knob. Easy, fast, and reliable.

Jadelabdo J1 uses a combination of a direct drive and a dual drive setup, which enables greater grip strength and better filament flow control, leading to the best possible printing performance. It also features filament sensors to detect and alert you to filament runout and jams, unique nozzle height calibration knobs, and easy-to-replace hotends.

A 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 microprocessor offers high-efficiency signal processing functionality. Pair that with TMC2209 ultra-silent motor driver IC. This controller has it all!

A large 5″ full-color IPS touchscreen lets you easily manage all your prints. Equipped with an ARM Cortex-A53 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB EMMC, running on Linux, it’s a seriously powerful touchscreen.

Featuring a glass plate with a Polyetherimide (PEI) print surface, Jadelabo J1 offers an ideal build plate. The glass plate is reliably flat, thermally stable, and extremely durable. The PEI surface offers both excellent adhesion and easier print removal.

Jadelabo Cura lets you use IDEX to its fullest. It features an easy workflow, custom printing modes, validated printing profiles, and hundreds of settings for in-depth control. It’s free, open-source, and tailor-made for Jadelabo J1 with ongoing updates and support.

How it’s smarter than other 3D printers?

Unlike a single extruder 3D printer, Jadelabo J1 features a Backup Mode that can automatically switch from one print head to a standby print head if it detects a filament run out or clog. This means it will continue to print instead of waiting for you to fix the problem, saving you time.

To avoid “all or nothing” in duplication and mirror printing, Jadelabo J1 features Avoid-Losing-Both that lets you stop the failed print but continue printing the good one. You can now print with multiple parts without fear.

Sometimes the filament can become tangled during printing. Jadelabo J1 has a filament tangle detection and recovery feature that helps you prevent failed prints. It will auto pause the print when there’s a tangle, and let you resume the print after you fix the problem.

How it’s the compatibility?

Jadelabo software and firmware are developed based on the renowned Open Source projects, Cura and Marlin. We hope that our input on IDEX features will give back to the community. Documents will be shared on GitHub when we deliver Jadelabo J1.

You can connect your Jadelabo J1 via Wi-Fi or USB. Feel free to use the third-party software that you’re used to since you can set up printing modes directly from the touchscreen. You can also control the printer remotely with OctoPrint.

How it’s made?

From electronics manufacturing and components mounting, to inspection, testing, and precision parts manufacturing, everything is driven by automated systems and the spirit of craftsmanship. All structural parts have good processability, durability, and surface quality.

Why support us on Kickstarter?

This is not our first printer

Hi, I’m Jade, co-founder of Jadelabo. My friends Tinker, Otoko, Paladin, and I started Jadelabo one year ago. All of us worked at Snapmaker from 2016 to 2020, a company that creates the most popular and quality modular 3-in-1 3D printers, which was the Most Funded Tech Project on Kickstarter.

During our time there, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in 3D printers design, engineering, and manufacturing. Together with the team, we have led the product R&D, production, and completed fulfillment for both Snapmaker Original and Snapmaker 2.0 3D printers, and we were heavily involved in various fields as Snapmaker grows from a 4 people team to a 100 people company.

Help us build this printer better

We wanted to combine the openness of open-source projects with our knowledge and experience to make a better IDEX 3D printer. We wanted to put this project on Kickstarter because it’s the fastest way for a startup to get a new product into your hands and make improvements as a community. We love our printer, and we need your help to make it even better.

Which reward should I back?
